Phoenix Rising International Film Festival (PRIFF) Selects "Lucia & Nicole"

We’re thrilled to share that Lucia & Nicole has been officially selected for the Phoenix Rising International Film Festival (PRIFF) 2025, taking place this November in London. Screenings will be held at the Genesis Cinema, with an awards ceremony at Chats Palace.

This selection is another important step in our festival journey. This October Lucia & Nicole will also screen at the San Francisco Latino Film Festival and the Newport Beach Film Festival, with more announcements to come. Each stop has allowed the film to connect with new audiences, from local communities to global cinephiles, and PRIFF continues that path by bringing the story to UK audiences.

At its core, Lucia & Nicole is about love, memory, and the fragile safety of queer connection. It asks what it means to find home in another person and how intimacy and trust can offer sanctuary in uncertain times. These themes have resonated with audiences who recognize parts of their own lives reflected on screen, whether in the uncertainty of young adulthood, the tenderness of queer love, or the search for belonging.
